Throughout history people have debated what is considered art because art is subjective and personal. Some people support graffiti as valid artistic expression becasue they think it's a personal expression of their experience. Other people do not support graffiti as legitimate because they see it as vandalism and not a traditional/typical for of art. In your opinion, should graffiti be considered a form of art?

I do believe graffiti should be considered a work of art. I believe this because because even though some is meant to be negative or advertise gang activity some of it is just as valid as something as a painting or a poem. It can add color to a world that desperately needs it. Some buildings that originally looked bland and colorless are brought into a new light. Graffiti shouldnt be considered vandalism because in most cases noone is payed to put these art pieces up for everyone to enjoy and it simply for the enjoyment of the onlooker as has been said before "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Of course everyone it free to their own opinion on the subject matter. But in the mindset that I am in i believe it can be just as much considered as art as something like a painting or a poem. That is my opinion on whether or not graffiti should be considered art.
i think it is a work of art because people are expressing themselve. & isnt that what art is about? sometimes graffiti doesnt seem like the best way to show it or may seem like a problem to YOU but not to some people. some think of it as inspiration. what im trying to say is that some people take it differently than some. I think graffiti should be considered art because when someone graffitis theyre expressing their emotions and piece of mind through it. the definition of art is an expression through creative technique and isnt graffiti just that? Even if it is vandalism in some cases in doesnt necessarily make the object look any worse. usually people graffiti on on something that is already old and not taken care of like a parked train or an old building that they havent painted in years im not saying its not a felony im just trying to say its not always vandalism.
I believe that graffiti is a form of art when it is not hurting anyone's feelings. Graffiti can be expressed in many different forms not just on personal property. Graffiti should be designed as a thought that's appropriate for one's eye. It's not always meant to be inspirational but it can be.
Graffiti should only be created to tell or show how a person is feeling behind all mixed emotions. It should not cause violence and commotion between anyone because words, actions and pictures can hurt people. Graffiti should be presented as a good thing. Most graffiti found around the world is inappropriate. Graffiti is usually known to be illegal depending on where its done. Usually it's done with spray paint on side of and abandon building.
People take graffiti as a form of art and so do i. It can be shown as a canvas, or words. It's not necessarily art that a famous painter woulds create. Graffiti is kind of known as street art, which is done by mainly anyone.
Therefore, I believe that Graffiti is art, but can be acknowledged in many different meanings.
Yes graffiti should be a form of art because to people that enjoy doing it they see it as a emotional and contributing, other people see it as vandalism but they cant't destroy someones talent by deleting it. And the person that does'nt approve of the fact that people can't display there talent then you should just keep everything to yourself and whenever they get caught by the law then its there fualt of choosing a better solution to display there talent. But they should be into painting or go into graphic design or just do something easy to get you out of trouble so you won't pay the price and be another percent of people to get put in jail for something so easy to think about. But most people wouldn't want it on there property but most people would like it on there property and sometimes poeple just do dumb graffiti they should just get an actual job and sometimes people get paid for the best they do put they have to take a picture of what they did and bring it to there boss and get paid but sometimes they might not do a good job
Yes graffiti should be considered a form of art. To some people it is an eyesore or a waste of time but to some other people it is insporational.
One reason why grafitti should be considered s work of art is that it is not always done illegaly.Some people can do it in their own home and it would be a insporational work of art and legal.

My last reason why grafitti should be considered a form of art is that some people are really good at it. Some people are just born good with grafitti and some want it on their property. If someone want grafitti on their property their property then other people have to respect that and even if they don't like it you should get used to it because someone might not like the music you listen to or the food you like.
But despite my opinons some people don't like it and I understand that because some people use it as a gang symbol or sign and might influence children. But not all graffiti is like that and most of it is really nice.
All in all im saying that even if you don't like graffiti that you should respect it because it is a work of art and some people are really good at it. And it is not always illegal.
I believe that graffiti is art because it isnt always meant to be negative and maybe it is, doesnt mean it should be banned because eerybody has there own opinion on it and nobody can change it either.
Graffiti can be anywhere, on walls, on paper, anywhere actually. But just cause its graffiti doesnt mean its not art. People use graffiti to express there fellings, stress-reliefer, it might be a hobby of thiers, or just a pesonal liking. But many people dont consider all the good things that come from graffiti.

In my opinion involing topic.There has been arguements whether or not graffiti is a form of art. I really think that it is consider art.
My first reasonis that I see graffiti as decoration and not vandalism at all. In places like Mexican Town in Detroit have alot of graffiti that looks good,and has people attracted to it.Yes I would understand people would think its vandlism because its on bulidings, and not on a canvas.
My second reason is that not all graffiti is bad. Most of graffiti are an experrsion on how somebody feels. For example I have seen plenty of graffiti that were master pieces of people or thoughts. On the other hand some are inappropriate language, and wouldnt approve people doing that stuff.

People take things to seriously when they see graffiti they think its bad, its really not. People use it for deceration on streets walls. It isnt always bad its not harmful its not always a crime. The deffiniton of art is that art is only art to people that think it is art. Graffiti should only be considered art to people that see it as art. Some people view it as vandalism while other see it as inspiring. It is completely personal opinion. People who just see graffiti on a building while going somewhere might think that it is art. If that building belonged to them they might have a completely different opinion. Unless a person is the one painting the graffiti or the one whos property it belongs to thtey cannot have a fair say in whether it is art or not.
Depending on what the graffiti is portraying affects views on it too. If someone saw graffiti referring to gangs, violence, or anything else innopropriate they miht asume that it all does and have a negative opinion about it.

Graffiti should be considered art because it is a way of expressing yourself and can be used for good things and for bad things such as gang related things or to promote gangs and sometimes promote violence but it can used in a good way it all depends on what you do in the graffiti.

If the graffiti is allowed then it is art because you have nothing to hide. if people see it tagged on a train or a bridge then they see it as disrespectfull and vandalism. If it is supposed to or allowed to be somewhere then people see it as art.

Graffiti is a form of art, as what most or some people would say in there opinion, I consider it as that it is deffinately art. But graffiti tends to have issues, weteher or not if it a form of art.
My first reason is that Is expresses How you feel, just as if you were any other real artest. You would get asked, "What made you draw something like this, Or what was going trough your head, or thoughts? Just as a real artist would say there thoughts, you would also give yours, which is concsidered as the same.
Also some people would want graffiti of there property of theres, for example in Thurston High School in the hallway is a painting of Graffafiti, Now i am pretty sure that an administrator probably asked for it. Because if someone would have done that as vandilism, If would not have been considered as art and as follishness.
This comes to my third reason it is mostly done on public property such as schools,stores,freeways,signs etc... but in my opinion if you want a form of art to be noticed you should not in fact, do it illegally or as vandalism. Its just not right.
These artist have great talent, and i could see why they vandalise property and write it on property without asking, I think they want people to see it randomly and say wow this is good but, why?

I disagree that gaffiti could be seen as art. Its just kids bored with life and want to be distructive. If it was meant to be art then would have been able ask the person for permission.
